Sevens season: unbeaten at Babson, then Vegas
The Maddogs won the Babson tournament without conceding a try, and chase a Nationals bid through the Liberty series.
The Maddog sevens played a tournament at Babson last Saturday, beating UMass Lowell, Bentley and Babson by over 40 points a game without conceding a try. The B side also went unbeaten.
This week the Dogs are at the Las Vegas Invitational, with Thursday pool games against Lindenwood, Colorado State and New Mexico, streamed on the NU Rugby Facebook page.
The Maddogs can earn a place at the National Sevens in Boulder, Colorado on May 19 in two ways: by winning the three-stop, nine-team Liberty Conference series (Stony Brook on April 7, URI on April 21 and Colgate on May 5), or through the national qualifier at UNH on April 14.
