In 2011, the Friends of Northeastern University Rugby (FONUR) and the Northeastern rugby community lost one of its dearest friends and academic advisor, Professor Bruce Wallin. The next year, the newly established NURFC Endowment fund was renamed in his honor. Professor Wallin was a champion both on and off the pitch, who made a lifetime of giving both academic knowledge and personal and professional encouragement to anyone who was blessed to know him. This endowment will provide an annual source of funds to support the operating expenses for the Men’s Rugby team.

The Men’s Rugby Club has been crushing the competition since 1984 and has an exciting future ahead of it. With 70+ members and several regional rugby championships under their belt, the team is a beacon of success and appreciates your generous support for continuing their legacy. Donations to the fund contribute directly to the club’s operating account and will be used for expenses like practice equipment purchases, travel costs, and coaching salaries for the rugby team.

The Men’s Rugby 7’s are a Division I Club Sport Team that competes during the Spring and Summer semesters. Donations to the fund will contribute directly to the Rugby 7’s Club’s operating account for expenses like practice equipment purchases, travel costs, and coaching salaries for the team.

The purpose of the fund is to supplement Club Men’s Rugby coaching salaries and enrichment activities for the club rugby team as determined by the coaches. The associate director, or their designee, will only disburse the fund for purposes that directly benefit the university in the attainment of its mission and goals. This fund will be administered by the Director of Athletics and Recreation (or any successor thereof), or their designee in collaboration with the Associate Director of Club Sports & Esports.

The Northeastern Women’s Rugby Club was founded in 1995. Since then, the team has brought home two national championship titles and have expanded to 75 players. The team is proud of their legacy and appreciates every generous donation towards their future. Your generosity will contribute to the team’s equipment, travel, and coaching salaries and ensure their continued success.

The Northeastern University Women’s Rugby 7’s Club is a Division I Club Sport Team that plays 7s during the Spring and Summer semesters and have often qualified for national tournaments in recent years. The Lady Maddogs strive to preserve rugby’s reputation as the “gentlewoman’s sport” and to be excellent in both athletics and academics. The team appreciates your generous support for their further success.
