NU 69, URI 0
A shutout at URI to open the Liberty season, and the B side won 44–0.
After a preseason tune-up against Harvard in which both teams put up a ton of points, the Maddogs traveled to URI to prove their defense was up to the task. And it was! The Dogs shut out URI and put 69 points on the board for their first win of the fall.
The B side did their best to match the top Dogs but fell just shy with a 44–0 win, completing the shutout for the club.
Next up, the Dogs face a hardened and well-coached UMass squad at home: Saturday at 6pm at Parsons Field. There’s extra parking in the public lot in Brookline Village, a short walk from Parsons.
