A win over Wentworth, and the Dogs in LA

The young Dogs beat Wentworth on the old Triangle of Death, and the sevens squad played the LA stop of the World Sevens.
With the nice weather in Boston, the Dogs knocked on Wentworth’s door to see if they’d come out to play, and they were game. The young Maddogs earned a 14–10 win over Wentworth on the old site of the famed Triangle of Death, with tries from hooker Ian Carter and number eight Ian Obrey and our typical great team defense. The spring fifteens season is off on the right claw.
The rest of the Dogs went to Los Angeles for the collegiate tournament at the LA stop of the World Rugby Sevens, pooled with Cal State Long Beach, Utah Valley and Coast Guard. They brought some crazy New England weather with them: after a great 15–5 win over Utah Valley and a tough 23–18 loss to Cal State Long Beach, the Dogs were set for a fantastic third-place match against Notre Dame, which was cancelled because of lightning. It was another notch in the belt as the Dogs gained valuable experience on a national, and international, stage.
