A recruiting push, and Kourtney Bichotte-Dunner to Portugal

Coach Ed and Eric Graham traveled to Saint Ignatius High School in Ohio for a combine with some of the top players in the state, and came away with more than 20 prospective rugby students. Dramatically increasing applications from top rugby players is the formula that will take Maddog rugby to the next level. Lady Maddog Kourtney Bichotte-Dunner has been selected for the NCR high-performance sevens tour to Portugal in June for the Algarve Sevens, one of the largest tournaments in Europe. It’s an incredible chance for Kourtney to test herself in a professional rugby environment, and alum Sam Perino is collecting donations from the Maddog community toward the $2,500 trip.

Save the dates: the Free Jacks tailgate on May 4, the Alumni Hall of Fame and golf weekend on June 20–22, and Ireland vs New Zealand in Chicago on November 1. Who’s going?
