Plate winners in Los Angeles

Four wins from five and 145 points to 26 at the Los Angeles Invitational.
It had been only two and a half weeks since the sevens practice season kicked off at the Memorial Touch Tournament when the boys headed out to blitz LA.
The game of sevens is played on the edge of a knife, where every decision risks a fall from win to loss. The Dogs faltered in their second game to the eventual tournament champions, Alabama, but dominated every other match, winning the Plate with a 4–1 record and outscoring their opponents 145–26. Congratulations to Alabama!

The Maddogs now start a long stretch of spring sevens, looking to qualify for Nationals in May, starting at Stony Brook on April 4. There will also be a short B-side fifteens season through April to keep the meat fresh.
