Four Maddogs named to the New England All-Stars
Coach Tubridy leads the squad in New Orleans, and Giving Day raises $28,300 from 912 gifts.
Four Maddogs have been selected for the New England All-Star side, with Coach Ed Tubridy leading the squad. The NCR’s regional all-star sides will play a tens tournament alongside the College Rugby Championship sevens in New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend.
Traveling with Coach Ed are three sophomores, fullback Nick Hudson and loose forwards Sam Sagherian and Coleman Jackson, and junior loose forward Alex Parciak. NU club sports competition is still shut down, so the club itself can’t play in the CRC sevens, which makes this a great opportunity for these hard-working Dogs.
Giving Day
Giving Day was a major success again this year because of your dedication. The $28,300 raised by club men’s rugby came from 103 donors making 912 gifts, more gifts than any other program at NU, and includes $8,500 in prizes: the Senior Challenge, the Club Sport Total Money Raised Challenge and the evening Most Alumni Gifts Challenge, which we won across the entire university. We lost the morning Young Alumni Challenge by fewer than 30 donations. Next year, our young NOBs will be ready!
