Back on the field after the pandemic, the Maddogs honored three new Hall of Famers at halftime.

Newly elected Hall of Famers Jim Grace, Chris Frazier and Nino Balduzzi were celebrated at halftime with a round of applause, and the Maddogs honored them with a commanding 67–5 win over UMass. We’ll celebrate our other new inductees, Tim Cummings and Bob McCarthy, at a future match.

Maddog alum and UMass head coach Phil Ciccarelli had his team playing strong and aggressive, but they were no match for the Dogs’ speed, skill and tackling. Number eight Alex Parciak was Man of the Match, and wing Ryan Connolly was named one of Goff Rugby’s 15 top performers of the week.

The second side gelled well too, beating the UMass seconds 27–0, with Devin Brancato their Man of the Match at both center and hooker.

With the boys back in action, the alumni are focusing on growing the Bruce Wallin Memorial Endowed Fund, which stood at $154,000 at the close of the university’s fiscal year in June 2021. We’re asking alumni, family and friends to consider a five-year gift commitment.
