A win at Harvard's 150th

· FONUR

After a loss at AIC, the Dogs beat Harvard 31–19, and the B side kept up its shutouts.

The preseason ended with a friendly at Holy Cross, where the Crusaders came out swinging: an accurate kicking game pinned the Maddogs in a corner for a 14-point lead in the first 20 minutes. It didn’t take long for the pack to regain composure, and three converted tries had us up 21–14 at half and 26–14 early in the second before both teams emptied the benches.

We didn’t get the result we wanted against a physical AIC squad (AIC 30, NU 10), but the Dogs put together a solid performance at Harvard’s 150th-anniversary celebration to win 31–19. The second side also beat Harvard on Friday night, with another shutout.

The boys need a big win against Dartmouth this Saturday at 2:30 at Carter to stay in contention for a playoff spot. Rally the NOBs, and join us afterwards at Slade’s Grill, two minutes’ walk from Carter.
