Bowl win over Fordham ends the fall

The Maddogs beat Fordham 44–22, and the young Dogs tested BC at Alumni Stadium.
The boys gave Fordham a beating to end the fall season with a 44–22 win in the Liberty Bowl at Fairfield. Men of the Match were wing Tom McKeon and lock Gabe Baczewski. Brown beat AIC to take the Liberty Conference championship, and both teams head to the NCR national playoffs.
With BC on a bye and Alumni Stadium free, our second and third sides went over to test the Eagles. We carried a 10–0 lead late into the second half before BC overwhelmed our newest recruits to tie it at 10. It was a bruising, physical match and great exposure for our young Dogs, and we made Alumni Stadium feel like home. The third side also took a beating from Harvard’s second side in Cambridge. It’s fantastic to renew some historic rivalries from the old rugby Beanpot era. We’d love to bring it back!
