The gala and touch tournament were a resounding success

There’s nothing like the cave-like atmosphere of the aquarium to make a Dog feel at home. It was amazing to see over 180 alumni, students and friends at the New England Aquarium, reminiscing, meeting each other and bonding over Maddog rugby, as we inducted the Hall of Fame class of 2023 and the team handed out its awards. The events were for both the men’s and women’s clubs.

A special thank you to our table sponsors. Without your generosity this event would not have been possible. Three cheers to John Broderick, JP Bonin, Ryan Alles, James Bass, Andy Hermo and Mike Gallagher, Rich Hilton, and the Graham family.

The Memorial Touch Tournament kicked off the day in the Carter Field dome, with eight teams of alumni and current players on three fields. Three cheers to Jack Hale, Mike Eiden and Tony Salvatore for refereeing and taking the usual abuse. Well done, Dogs!

The undergrads have ditched the suits and are back in action this weekend at the Free Jacks’ Monumental Sevens CRC qualifier in Quincy.
