Spring update: the endowment and the Maddogs in Vegas

Thank you to everyone who donated to the Maddogs last month.

Thanks to the 20 of you who gave at a moment’s notice, the university agreed to extend the activation date for the endowment to June 2018. That’s great news. The endowment stands at just over $55,000 in Bruce Wallin’s name, and 12 alumni have committed another $15,000 toward the $100,000 activation. That gives us fifteen months to raise $30,000. We can do this, Dogs!

Vegas

The Maddog sevens headed to Las Vegas for spring break and the Las Vegas Invitational. The team put in four nights a week of practice, fitness and weights through February to get ready. Their Thursday pool games are against Dixie State, Wheeling Jesuit and Utah Valley. Bring home some hardware, Dogs!

USA vs Ireland

USA Rugby has announced the Eagles will play Ireland at Red Bull Arena outside New York on June 10, and a group of NOBs are already sitting together in section 228. Alumni Weekend will likely be a weekend in June. Stay tuned.
